by Gordon Grubbs

April 05, 2010

Newcastle High School students under the supervision of Courtney Bozeman and Kem Forbus made another strong move toward the district academic championship for this school year!  Only 19 points separated the district champion, Jayton High School, and our students from Newcastle High School.  Jayton ended the two days of contests with 362 points and Newcastle had 343.  The next closest competitor was Knox City High School with 196.5 points. For the past two years these students and their teachers have been working hard to gain academic respect amongst the district schools and these results reflect the hard work going on!
