End of Year Activities!!

It happens at the end of every school year! There are so many annual activities to squash into a very short period of time and it makes the end of school the most hectic time of the year!

This year is even tougher to schedule everything because certain groups of students and teachers are involved in STAAR or End of Course testing on a daily basis it seems! There are 9 days in the month of May that STAAR and End of Course tests are scheduled and that doesn’t include all the other days that students will be taking the usual nine-weeks and final exams that are not required by the state! It’s just gotten crazy!

Here is a list of the end of year activities that are scheduled for now:

May 16 – Senior trip to Six Flags Over Texas and Texas Ranger game

May 18 – Elementary Field Day – 9:00 AM

May 24 – Early Release Day – 12:17 PM

Sports Banquet – 7:00 PM

May 25 – Bad Weather Day – No School

May 28 – Bad Weather Day – No School

May 29 – High School Academic Awards – 6:30 PM – Graham Country Club

May 30 – Elementary Spring Music Program – 6:00 PM

May 31 – Elementary/Junior High Awards Program – TBD

Junior High Graduation – 7:00 PM

June 1 – Early Release Day – 12:17 PM
