The NISD Board of Trustees met at the Newcastle Board Room at 505 Washington Ave, Newcastle, TX on Monday, June 21, 2010 at 7:00 pm for their regularly scheduled monthly meeting.
Present: Bruce Bailey, president, Kerry Lowe – Vice-President (late),Beth Jordan, secretary, Carla Short, member (late) and Thomas Spurlin, member, Tommy Dee Taylor, member.
Board Members absent: Kenneth Lowe
Also Present: Gordon H Grubbs, superintendent
The meeting was called to order by the president, Bruce Bailey. Motion was made by Tommy Dee Taylor and seconded by Thomas Spurlin to approve the consent agenda. Motion carried 4-0.
Motion was made by Tommy Dee Taylor and seconded by Kerry Lowe to approve Region 9 ESC Detailed Service Contract for 2010-2011 school years. Motion carried 5-0.
Motion was made by Bruce Bailey and seconded by Thomas Spurlin to approve 2010-2011 Teacher Appraisal Calendar and Plan. Motion carried 5-0.
Discussion/Information Items.
Motion was made by President, Bruce Bailey and seconded by Kerry Lowe to move into executive session. Motion carried 6-0.
Motion was made by President, Bruce Bailey and seconded by Kerry Lowe to move out of executive session. Motion carried.6-0.
Motion was made by Kerry Lowe and seconded by Tommy Dee Taylor to adjourn meeting. Motion carried 6-0.
