The NISD Board of Trustees met at the Newcastle Board Room at 505 Washington Ave, Newcastle, TX on Monday, April 26, 2010 at 7:00 pm for their regularly scheduled monthly meeting.
Present: Tommy Dee Taylor, president, Bruce Bailey, vice-president, Kenneth Lowe, member, Kerry Lowe , member, Carla Short, member
Board Members absent: Beth Jordan, Thomas Spurlin
Also Present: Gordon H Grubbs, superintendent, Cathy Creel, Principal, (1) Mike Wilson, Joe Pitt, & Chris Bovard ( NR2 Architechs of Dallas), (2) Steve Elbinger, Kelly Mann, & Richard Rogers (CADCO of Abilene), (3) Trent Perkins, Ralph Perkins, & Glenda Ramsey (of HPA in Wichita Falls) architects.
The meeting was called to order by the president, Tommy Dee Taylor. Motion was made by Kerry Lowe and seconded by Bruce Bailey to approve the consent agenda. Motion carried 5-0.
Table selection of architectural firm. Gordon call Comanche & Gustene. No vote.
Discussion – May need bus driver money for maintenance job to make a workable job – Need 3 bus routes and 3 bus drivers. No vote.
Junior High Cheerleader sponsor volunteer – Joanna Manos. No vote.
Motion made by Kerry Lowe and seconded by Kenneth Lowe to adjourn meeting. Motion carried 5-0.
