The subjects to be discussed or considered, or upon which any formal action may be taken, are as follows: (Items do not have to be taken in the same order as shown on the meeting notice.)
I. Call to Order
II. Announcement by chairman that a quorum is present, that the meeting has been duly called and that the notice of the meeting has been duly posted for time and manner as required by law.
III. Open Forum: Hearing of individuals and committees
IV. Hearing of appeals/grievances/complaints
V. Consent Agenda:
A. Minutes of previous meetings
B. Payment of bills
C. Statement of district operations
D. Summary of monthly tax collections
E. Monthly/Quarterly Investment Report including daily rates and earnings
F. Necessary amendments to budget
VI. Action Items:
A. Announcement of Board Training Hours for January 2008 – February 2009
B. Order for Board Election May 9, 2009 for Places 1(Jordan), 2 (Lowe), and 3 (Taack)
C. Consider joint election agreement with City of Newcastle and resolution for holding joint election with City of Newcastle
D. Consideration of application for expedited and general state waivers – 2009-2010 School Calendar
VII. Discussion/Information Items
A. Review of School Calendar options for 2009-2010
B. District Depository Contract Extension

VIII. Closed Session: A closed session may be held under the provision of Texas Government Code, Chapter 551 including but not limited to Section 551.071, Section 551.072, Section 551.076, Section 551.082(a), and Section 551.083.
A. Mrs. Creel requests that we postpone her job review and contract consideration until next month when she will be able to be present.
IX. Reconvene from closed session for action relative to items considered during closed session.
X. Adjournment
If, during the course of the meeting, any discussion of any item on the agenda should be held in closed meeting, the Board will conduct a closed meeting in accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, Tex. Gov’t. Code, Chapter 551, Sub-chapters D & E.
