The NISD Board of Trustees met in regular session on October 16, 2007 at 6:00 pm in the school library.
Present: Tommy Dee Taylor, Beth Jordan, LaFonda Taack, Carla Short, Kerry Lowe, Bruce Bailey and Thomas Spurlin
Absent:
Also Present: Gordon Grubbs
The meeting was called to order by the president, Tommy Dee Taylor. Motion was made by Bruce Bailey and seconded by Carla Short to approve the consent agenda. Motion carried 7 to 0.
Tommy Dee Taylor made motion to adopt resolution nominating Bill Stephens as NISD representative of the Young County Appraisal District Board of Directors for 2008-09 term. Seconded by LaFonda Taack. Motion carried 7 to 0.
Motion made by Bruce Bailey and seconded by Tommy Dee Taylor at 6:08 p.m. to recess regular meeting to hold the School FIRST Public Hearing. Motion carried 7 to 0. No members of community were in attendance. Mr. Grubbs presented the final report of School FIRST rating. Copy of Superintendent’s current contract and reimbursements received by the superintendent were presented. Board members did not receive reimbursements or gifts. Superintendent did not receive any outside compensation.
Motion made by Kerry Lowe to adjourn the School FIRST Public Hearing at 6:21 p.m. in
order to participate in Region 9 School Board Level II Team Building Training via Distance Learning. Motion seconded by Thomas Spurlin. Motion carried 7 to 0.
Motion was made by LaFonda Taack and seconded by Tommy Dee Taylor at 8:05 p.m. to return to regular session. Motion carried 7 to 0.
No other business and motion was made by Kerry Lowe and seconded by Carla Short to adjourn. Motion carried 7 to 0.
